It’s almost six months since ‘The Rock ‘n’ The Roll. ‘N’ That…’ was launched and I’ve been delighted with the reception. The feedback and comments have all been positive and it is hugely humbling to know that my book has made it to the top of people’s ‘to be read’ pile and consumed – in some cases in a matter of days! The book is being stocked – and sold after a couple of re-stock requests – in a local independent book shop (Chorlton Bookshop on Wilbraham Road F.Y.I) and I’ve just sorted a handful of book signing sessions with WH Smith. Yes, I’ll be sitting in the Trafford Centre with a big pile of bright pink books awaiting new readers desperate for a signed copy of Manchester’s best musical melodrama. I was lucky enough to be invited to an in-store event at Pretty Green Manchester where Tim and Mark from The Charlatans played a lovely little acoustic set. And I presented Tim with a copy after he’d signed my copy of his ‘Tim Book Two’ – he had to write a second book with that brilliant pun up his sleeve for the title alone! And lastly, and I think most significantly, I’m well underway with my own book two – working title ‘No. You…’ Again, it is set in Manchester, but is completely unrelated to ‘TRATRAT’ – although I will be planting a couple of ‘Easter eggs’ in there for the more eagle-eyed reader to spot. The initial draft is taking shape and I’ve posted the first chapter on my website for you to take an exclusive peek at www.stevenjgill.co.uk I’d love to hear any feedback/thoughts on this as it takes shape. I expect to have the finished draft done by the end of the year and although I don’t want to give too much away, the ending that I have planned is fucking mind-blowingly good and ties in with the first chapter perfectly. Enjoy whatever you have planned for the Summer – and if you have foreign travel or music festivals planned, then my the sun shine long on you and yours. Love and peace Steven x

I know it's probably a bit cheeky asking you for a bit more help but "don't ask don't get"... so here goes...It would help me massively if you could pop over to the book's Amazon Page and leave a review. I've discovered real life bookshops love to see this stuff and it will mean I'll get more …

The End is in sight…

After what is best described as an elephantine gestation, I’ve finally been given a release date by my publisher. 31st January 2019 will see ‘The Rock ‘N’ The Roll. ‘N’ That…’ unleashed. I’m fiercely proud of the book and genuinely looking forward to the reviews from both pre-orders and total strangers alike. Having shown the novel …
